June-2024 Looking out the window here at Mountain View once again

It’s June and as you enter our Fair Oaks gate, our beautiful flowers welcome you. All the colors of the rainbow seem to have been placed by an artist with flowers as his palate. That artist is Mountain View’s Sammy and he does his creative plantings long before the sun comes up. He’s been making us look good since way back when.
May was an exciting month for Mountain View. Mother’s Day flower tributes started to arrive when our Fair Oaks gate opened and went on and on until we closed our doors. It was a beautiful but busy day. It was a Happy Mother’s Day for all the Moms, Mentors, Teachers, Aunts, Sisters, Nieces and nurturing Neighbors that have meant so much in our lives.
Memorial Day in May is always a very special day here at Mountain View.Flags were flying. Stories were told. Thanks to all our friends and neighbors that made it all go so smoothly. Our legendary historian Nick Smith brought along his special tales of our Mountain View connection with the Civil War. He also spoke about the days, years and decades following the war when the great migration to California began.
May was May and now June is busting out all over. It’s been hot , maybe a hint of a hot Summer 2024. One way to beat the heat is to enjoy the colorful Roses that grow in the cool shade alongside our Sunrise Chapel. Those colorful roses always set a tone of beauty and respect for our family services.
As you drive into our Fair Oaks driveway, you notice a special blend of flowers that dance together just outside our Columbarium. You might call it a garden party. Like in the song. Might be time to take a walk on the healthy side and enjoy our scenic grounds. We open at 8am and are open Seven Days. Hope to see you soon. June is here and so are those delicious Dodger dogs.
